4 Tbsp unsalted butter
1-3/4 Cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1-1/2 Cups sugar
1/4 Cup vegetable oil
1 Cup pumpkin puree
2 eggs
2/3 Cup water, warm

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour two loaf pans.

Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and Pumpkin Pie Spice.

In a separate bowl, beat and cream together the butter and the sugar. Add in oil and pumpkin puree, and continue to cream. Add the eggs and blend. Add dry (flour-powder-soda-spice) mix to the creamed mixture, along with 2/3 Cup water.

When mixture is completely blended, divide batter evenly into the two prepared pans and bake for 1 hour and 15 min.

Let cool completely before slicing.

I’m a bit confused. It states to add the sugar to the dry ingredients but then it says to add it to the butter? I hope that this didn’t need brown sugar and it was left off the list since I just went with it and it is now in the oven.

Sorry for the confusion – the sugar should get creamed with the butter, rather than be part of the dry ingredient mix. We’ve updated the recipe with the proper steps. Thanks for pointing out the needed clarification! Hope your pumpkin bread was delicious.
