This recipe took 3rd place in our Pork Rub Contest at the 2014 Iowa State Fair!

INGREDIENTS FOR RUB:
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper

INGREDIENTS TO PREPARE MEAT:
3 lbs. pork baby back ribs cut into groups of 4 ribs
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 Cups water
BBQ sauce (optional)

STEPS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix together all ingredients for the rub. Massage the spice rub into the ribs. Allow meat to sit for at least 10 minutes.
In a skillet, warm up the olive oil over medium-high heat, and brown each side of the rubbed ribs.

Transfer ribs into 9×13 pan, add the bouillon cubes and water. Cover pan with foil and bake at 375F for 1 hour.
Prepare the grill and once ready, transfer the ribs from the baking pan to the grill. Grill the meat until completely cooked to your preferred level of “doneness.”
If you want, brush BBQ sauce on the ribs.
