6 Cups vanilla ice cream (here’s our homemade vanilla ice cream recipe)
1-1/2 Cups milk
1 tsp Peppermint Extract
1 Cup whipping cream
1 Tbsp confectioners’ sugar
Green gel food coloring (optional)
Green finishing sugar (sprinkles) for garnish (optional)
Make the milkshake: Combine the ice cream and milk in blender with green food coloring (if using) and Peppermint Extract. Pulse to blend until milkshake is desired consistency (and color, if using food color). Adjust ingredients as needed to tweak texture, taste, and color.
Make whipped cream: Pour 1 Cup cream (and a splash of Vanilla Extract, if desired) into a mixing bowl. Using the whisk attachment on an electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed, until peaks begin to form. Add green food coloring (if using) and 1 Tbsp confectioners’ sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
Assemble the milkshakes: Divide milkshakes among four 16 oz (preferably chilled) glasses. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and garnish with sprinkles (if desired).
