This recipe took first place in our Salty Snack Mix Competition at the 2015 Iowa State Fair.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup Chex cereal
1 Cup Pretzels
1/2 Cup peanuts
1/2 Cup minced garlic
2-1/2 Tbsp Smoked Bacon Salt
1 Cup wheat cereal (like Chex)
1 Cup bacon cheddar pretzels
1 stick (1/2 Cup) butter, melted
1 Tbsp Onion Powder
4 Tbsp Worcestershire Powder

STEPS

Mix dry cereals, pretzels, and nuts. Melt butter and garlic, add in onion powder, Worcestershire powder, and bacon salt. Pour butter/spice mix over cereal mixture and stir to coat well. Bake at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes until snack mix is dry.

Allow to cool before serving.
