Black Tellicherry Peppercorns come from the western Malabar Coast of southern India. Grown on the sunny slopes of Mt. Tellicherry, these peppercorns are left on the vine longer, allowing them to grow larger and develop a rich, clean, aromatic flavor with deeper citrus and floral notes. Tellicherry peppercorns are also known as Malabar black pepper.
Black peppercorns are spicier than white, pink, and green peppercorns.
Use whole peppercorns in pickling and brining mixes or use them in your pepper grinder to flavor almost any meat or vegetable dish.
Freshly ground pepper is always better and fresher than pre-ground pepper.
It's not just for savory dishes! We recently enjoyed a dessert that prominently featured Tellicherry pepper in a warm confit of pineapple.
