This hot, yellow mustard powder is the ground product of the seeds from a large bush native to Asia. Produced from the most pungent seeds, this powder is spicy and sharp and can be mixed with water to make a typical Asian condiment.
Chinese mustard powder which, like Dijon, is made with the stronger brown mustard seeds, called Brassica juncea. However, English Colman's dry mustard powder, is made by blending the flavorful brown seeds with the less pungent white mustard seeds.
