Bee's Wrap food storage wraps. By infusing organic cotton with beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin, Bee's Wrap creator Sarah Kaeck has invented a washable, reusable, and compostable alternative to plastic wrap. When the company first started in 2012, beeswax was hand-painted onto every bag; now they have a custom-designed machine to produce the reusable bags.
The wraps come in a variety of sizes, from the small covers that could handle a lemon wedge, half an onion or a sliced avocado, to great big wraps that can keep a large loaf of homemade bread fresh.
There are also variety packs, and neat reusable "lunch sets" with one wrap for your sandwich, and two others for your "sides" or dessert.
How does it work? Use the warmth of your hands to soften the wrap and create a seal around your food item. When cool, the wrap will hold its shape. To reuse, wash in COOL water with a mild dish soap, and allow to air dry.
