Hazelnuts, the nut of the Hazel tree (and sometimes also called filberts), are a favorite nut for all sorts of treats. Raw, roasted, or ground, hazelnuts are widely used in confectionery to make delicacies such as pralines, and are also used in combination with chocolate for chocolate truffles and products like Nutella and Frangelico liqueur.
Our Hazelnut Extract adds a rich nutty flavor to recipes: a perfect addition to banana or other breads, coffee liqeurs, granolas, and brownies. Any hazelnut dessert (cheesecake, chocolate truffles, rich coffee cake or ice cream) or anything Nutella-themed (spreads and frostings, cupcakes) tastes better with a hint of Hazelnut Extract. Spritz a little Hazelnut Extract on fresh beans before grinding to make your own hazelnut coffee (or slip 1/2 tsp into a fresh-brewed 10-cup pot).
