It’s That Time Again… (Part 2)

2016 Des Moines Restaurant Week

It’s Des Moines Restaurant Week!

Dine at some of Des Moines’ “top restaurants” Aug. 19-28, and discover some new favorite places (or enjoy a special prix-fixe meal at a great price).

Here’s the deal: for just $28, diners can enjoy a midday lunch for two, or one three-course evening dinner. Des Moines Metro chefs will create special fixed-price menus that will showcase what the DSM Restaurant Week website is calling “palate-pleasing cuisine at pocketbook-pleasing prices.”

2016 DSM Restaurant Week - salmonParticipating restaurants (complete listing here) run the gamut from A (Alba, Americana, Aposto, AJ’s Steakhouse) to almost Z (well, “W” anyway, Wasabi Chi and Wasabi Tao), from sushi to Strudl (Haus).

In addition to delicious food, there are also fabulous prizes. If you eat at four or more participating restaurants during Restaurant Week (and you keep your receipts), you will be eligible to enter a prize drawing from the DSM Convention and Visitors Bureau that (literally) looks pretty sweet:

  • Brunch at Americana
  • Brewery Tour
  • Drinks at RoCA
  • A cuisine class at the Des Moines Social Club
  • Gift card for a restaurant of your choice
  • Crème cupcake drinks/dessert
  • Cooking Class at The Cheese Shop

There’s also a DSM Restaurant Week smartphone app, a Restaurant Week Instagram account to tag / follow ( #dsmrw2016 ), detailed menus for most of the participating venues, and other cool stuff over on the Des Moines Restaurant Week website.
