We’re counting down the days, and mixing up the treats we’ll be serving next Friday, October 21, at the AllSpice Sixth Anniversary Open House.
AllSpice owner, Rory Brown, gave us a taste (pun intended) of what to expect at next week’s party.
We will have all kinds of finger foods for people to sample this year. The list is pretty long, but some of what we’ll be serving includes:
- Seasoned pork sausage made with our signature sausage spice blend
- Sweet potato hash with a Red Apple Balsamic reduction, phyllo cup
- Mushroom patê on brioche toast points, fried sage leaf
- Shredded island jerk pork with pineapple scotch bonnet salsa on plantain chips
- Charred green onion ranch dip
We will be sure to make these recipes available after the party, so you can stock up on the “secret” ingredients and re-create these dishes at home.
Sweet treats. We will also be serving desserts -that contain some special AllSpice baking ingredients – from Creme Cupcake . And of course, we can’t bear the thought of you being thirsty – we’ll have yummy adult beverages on hand.
Come for the snacks. Stay for the door prizes. We will be giving away gifts, that include our gift boxes, oils and vinegars, some of the new cookbooks and pepper and spice mills we’ve recently begun carrying at the store. We’ll do the drawing for door prizes at the end of the evening; we’ll call any winners who couldn’t stay all evening, and let them know they have won.
