Smoked Sea Salt
Sea salt is produced by evaporating seawater; smoked sea salt is coarse sea salt that has been smoked over wood fires. Our Smoked Sea Salt provides a smooth, smoky flavor, but without bitterness.
Sea Salt tastes and performs like table/rock salt but with a slightly larger grain. Contains less sodium and more mineral trace elements than mined/processed salt. Sea salt does not have added iodide. Sea salt is not as refined as table salt, and it still contains traces of other minerals. Sea salt is actually not as 'salty' as table salt, so recipes may have to be adjusted for taste.
Using smoked sea salt lends a smoky aroma and flavor to foods of all kinds, from grilled fish to creamy soups and corn-on-the-cob.
