Spotlight Spice: Pineapple White Balsamic Vinegar

Grab your ukulele, because this week’s spotlight spice is taking us tropical - it’s our Pineapple White Balsamic Vinegar! It’s sweet. It’s tart. And it's full of the taste and aroma of fresh, ripe pineapple.

We love using this vinegar in marinades. Its bright flavors and sweetness pair particularly well with our spicier olive oils (try the Chipotle or Cayenne Infused Olive Oils) for the perfect sweet and spicy marinade for pork, chicken, and fish. This combination is also perfect for dressing black bean, roasted corn, and avocado salsa.

Try it with a bit of soy sauce and our Roasted Sesame Oil as a tasty glaze for pork chops, or create a reduction by warming over medium heat until it reduces by about half (it should be roughly the consistency of honey). Then use it to glaze your Easter ham.

Make a tasty vinaigrette with the Pineapple White Balsamic Vinegar and our Blood Orange or Persian Lime Fused Olive Oils or our Basil, Garlic, or Herbs de Provence Infused Olive Oils. It’s also great solo as a dressing for fresh fruit or berries.

Add a splash to salsa, lemonade, or even plain old water to add a bit of fruity, tropical flair.

You’ll find a few of our favorite recipes featuring Pineapple White Balsamic Vinegar in the AllSpice recipe library, including 2018 Iowa State Fair winning Tropical Dip.

This one is seasonal, so grab a bottle of it while we’ve got it!
